the best.

Currently Vibin To: Say Something - Timbaland & Drake

Its not like I took yall for granted. I knew you were the best I could imagine. Going to wellington was the best thing that ever happened to me, and I've said it on many occasions, including senior dinner. I hope I conveyed it at graduation as best I could.

But coming home and seeing everyone, even people I saw over thanksgiving, is still the best ever. I am so ridiculously happy to see EVERYBODY. Every single person who has ever meant something to me.

i know i made a lot of mistakes. I know this. from about this time junior year to this time last year I hurt people, and I was an asshole. I understand that, and I'll never be able to repair those relationships with people I truly care about and it stinks.

But since then I've learned a lot about myself. I'm trying each and everyday to be better. I know that I'm needy and I know I can't act on every impulse to try and fill that hole in my life. I'm getting better, and I hope I can at some point be who I used to be, and have those great friendships.

Christmas has helped me realize just how important they were, and are. If I could do it all again, I would. I realize things will never be the same, or even similar to the way that they were.  But hindsight is 20/20, so I just have to keep working at it now, and continuing to cultivate the friendships I have, because you all mean so much more to me than anyone realizes.

One love.

Random Thoughts

Currently Vibin To: Wake Up (Cover) – Trey Songz

... YUUUUUP

Okay so there's only a few more days until I'm back in the CO.  Can NOT wait.  I just had some random thoughts I wanted to get down.

How come all of the advice in college isn't actually applicable?  "You've just got to find your niche".  "There's a girl out there for you... you've just got to find her".  "The key to having fun here is finding a good girl".  "Wait until spring semester... that's when people really start to enjoy college".

THANKS GUYS.  Every single piece of advice I've gotten this year has been missing one key ingredient: how?  How do I find my niche?  How do I find that girl?

I'm over it, really.  I just thought about it one day and thought it was funny.

I'm back

I guess it is my turn to say something on this here blog of ours.
Seeing as Ant has posted the last three or so and I haven't
contributed anything of value in a very long time.

I have a lot to catch you all up on actually, since Fiddlesticks 937
also hasn't been putting out any video blogs in the past couple
weeks/months. Life here at the Berg has been, interesting, to say
the very least. The last time we left you with our video blog was
right before Halloween and that is exactly where we shall pick up.

OU for Halloween was everything I imagined it would be. Lots of
ridiculous people in ridiculous costumes acting nothing less than
ridiculous. I would suggest every single person in the world go next
year with me and my people, because it is something that needs to
be experienced at least once. I didn't go in a costume because I'm
a lame and I was thoroughly embarrassed by that fact when I
arrived. So next year I will be prepared, my homies here want to
go as Dave Chappelle characters and I have already called
Rick James if we follow through with the thought.

Thanksgiving break was nice, though I didn't really do much.
It was nice just to chill with all the people that I miss on a daily
basis. That is really all I need to do over breaks though. Parties
and all that are cool, but the company is what really matters.
I am really looking forward to christmas break now. So I can
actually hang out with all the people that are important in my life.

I am enjoying school a lot more than I was last year. I was very
comfortable at home last year and wasn't completely ready to step
out. This year I am much more myself. I have realized that it is
much easier to move onto a new life when you get over the old life.
Instead of trying to go back to the way things were, focus on
making the best of how things are now. No matter how hard
you try you can't bring back the past and trying will simply make
you miss what is in front of you.

Well I would love to continue this blog, but I need to get back
to work since school is literally beating me down at the moment.

Until the next time.

Thanks for listening.

And another month bites the dust.

Currently Vibin To: Run This Town – Lil' Wayne

Okay, Okay.... So I lied about blogging more.  I'm still in this rut, and I need to get out of it.  Basketball has been helping; intramurals, it being on TV, all of it.  I really miss the game and the help it provided keeping me going, especially throughout winter.  But you know what really keeps me going?

You.

Anyone who possibly is reading this, you keep me going.  Not only my blood family, but my friends who are really are my extended family... and I love you all.  Everyone who I got to see, and everyone I didn't but will see over Christmas, I love you.  I really, really don't know how I have survived this long without being in your presence.  Sitting in the Durfee's living room with a bunch of you... at one point I had to just stop and take it all in.  I don't think I have ever really taken my extended family for granted, but being away from you all certainly made me realize how much you mean to me... How much I really do love you.

Sitting at Thanksgiving with Matt, Jas, Dev, and H.

The Durfee's another time.

Waffle House at 2:30 in the morning with Manny, James, H, Ben, D, Cam and Royal.

Borror gym on Saturday morning, and pizza afterwards.

The park of roses.

I just really cherished those moments, and will continue to cherish them anytime I am lucky enough to spend them with you.  I really am lucky to have such a good core group of people in my life, and I realize that and want you to know that I do.  While I'm out here in this other world, I will always yearn to be with you.
