Its not like I took yall for granted. I knew you were the best I could imagine. Going to wellington was the best thing that ever happened to me, and I've said it on many occasions, including senior dinner. I hope I conveyed it at graduation as best I could.
But coming home and seeing everyone, even people I saw over thanksgiving, is still the best ever. I am so ridiculously happy to see EVERYBODY. Every single person who has ever meant something to me.
i know i made a lot of mistakes. I know this. from about this time junior year to this time last year I hurt people, and I was an asshole. I understand that, and I'll never be able to repair those relationships with people I truly care about and it stinks.
But since then I've learned a lot about myself. I'm trying each and everyday to be better. I know that I'm needy and I know I can't act on every impulse to try and fill that hole in my life. I'm getting better, and I hope I can at some point be who I used to be, and have those great friendships.
Christmas has helped me realize just how important they were, and are. If I could do it all again, I would. I realize things will never be the same, or even similar to the way that they were. But hindsight is 20/20, so I just have to keep working at it now, and continuing to cultivate the friendships I have, because you all mean so much more to me than anyone realizes.
One love.
